WHY CONTRIBUTE?
Most films capturing our migrant experience have been stereotyped in the media, through a gritty, violent, and traumatic lens. To give our protagonist, Nina, and children going through difficult transitions like her, the fantasy they deserve, we must invest in bringing to life the wonder and magic of IN WONDERLAND. This includes budgeting for our costumes, production design, musical composition, animal wranglers... the list goes on.

We believe Nina's story deserves to be told, and we know that our film could not be made possible without in-kind donations and support provided by our generous families, friends, and community.

TAX DEDUCTION
Your donations may be tax-deductible. The American Film Institute is a government-recognized 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization and holds tax-exempt status. Donations made toward “IN WONDERLAND” may be tax deductible under Section 170 of the U.S. Tax Code. A letter of acknowledgment from AFI will be sent to all contributions.
MATCHING GRANT
Many companies will match donations made by their employees to non-profit charitable institutions. This can double your donation. Your company’s Human Resources Department will be able to inform you if your employer offers this benefit. If so, please select “My company will match my gift” on the AFI Web Donation Portal. Please contact us for additional help.

COST BREAKDOWN
To bring to life our magical realism, our short film must reaches a total budget of $65,000. We have already raised a portion from grant awards, but are still in need your help.
Our shooting dates are in May, and we would need to collect 80% of the budget before our shoot.
